Michelin Pro 3 Race Tire

Michelin Pro 3 Race Tire Review

Michelin Pro 3 Race Tire Feature

  • Pro3 delivers a 20% increase in grip in a straight line and a 27% increase in grip when cornering
  • High-density HDDP reinforcement under tread to reduce the risk of puncture
  • Dual-compound technology gives more grip in the corners and less rolling resistance in the straights
  • 127 tpi. 87-116 psi
  • 200 grams
Michelin is back with the Pro 3 Race TireAAAand with quite a few improvements to its predecessor, the Pro 2 Race. With a 6mm band of super-grip rubber on the shoulder of each tire, Michelin claims cornering adhesion is increased up to 27%. Tread in the center of the Pro Race 3 is the same as the Pro 2, but Michelin added a special silicium compound to increase grip up to 20%. Think of things this way: if you liked your Pro 2 Race tires but desired a bit more cornering grip and longevity, Michelin heard your cries. Feel free to send a thank you, or just crush the competition in your next local crit.
